Letter #25 — A Person You Know That Is Going Through Hard Times

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

06.09.12

Bud, I want you to know that I am proud of you for doing the hard thing, even when it was the last thing you wanted to do. I know it hurts. I know it’s still hard, even now. Please don’t do fall back into your old rut where this is concerned. It would be much better not to. Until you are ready to actually go for the end goal, don’t even start with this kind of thing. God’s timing is way better than our timing any day. I know it’s hard. I know waiting and having to be patient seems to go on forever, but it is possible with God and He’s got plans for you. Remember, while you are waiting and being patient, to be joyful. To be thankful. To be content. Find your identity in Christ. Be secure in Him, not someone else. Rest in Him.
