Letter #18 — Grandparents

06.02.12

To My Dad’s Parents,
Today we used your ice cream maker. It was the best thing ever and I can’t think of why we didn’t use it sooner. I remember sitting with Grandma while Dad read to when she was unwell. I remember playing pool with Grandpa and listening to his stories almost every Sunday and sometimes on Thursdays too.

To My Mom’s Parents,
Distance is such a bother, isn’t it? I remember visits, relaxing at home or working in the garden, talks, playing… Now it’s letters or emails, pictures sent through the mail, cards, phone calls… I am thankful for you all. Yes, each of you. I’m glad to have all three of you as part of my life.

Love and miss you all,
Your Granddaughter
